Wyoming Quit Tobacco Program (WQTP): The PMO helps support and promote the Wyoming Quit Tobacco Program (WQTP) in a variety of ways, and many communities have included promoting the program in their strategic plans. The first way of promoting it is that we provide “Quit It” kits, supplied by the WDH, to local communities via the CPSs. These kits contain information about the WQTP, including the 1-800-QUIT-NOW number and their website, www.quitwyo.org, in the form of posters, brochures (in English and Spanish), door hangers, and a “quit tobacco box”. The kits are placed in partnership with healthcare providers, businesses, and other entities such as public health, in order to ensure distribution to the public.
CPSs also promote the WQTP on their FB pages and websites – the PMO has graphic design services under contract to enhance the effectiveness of tobacco media messaging in communities, to provide digital marketing management services that improve both our reach, outreach, and partnership development. Recently the PMO also partnered with the “Muley Fanatic” Foundation, which will enable the CPSs to provide WQTP materials for all of their banquet events statewide.
